Cayuga County Chamber offers Frontline Customer Service Training

The Chamber rolled out a new initiative to instill a high level of customer service in all our local businesses and provide familiarization so employees of local businesses can direct customers and visitors to other opportunities in our community.

In November ‘11 the Chamber of Commerce honored 19 graduates with a certificate acknowledging their completion of the Chamber’s pilot run of its new Service Excellence Training Program (S.E.T.).

The Chamber secured the services of Mark and Shelly Ferris to provide the training for this program. Mark brings over 30 years of park operations management from his time with Disney and the NASCAR theme parks located throughout the South. Shelly brings over 15 years of training experience from her time as a Disney Customer Service Trainer and a management trainer with Papa John’s Restaurants. Together they developed a program specifically for Cayuga County to provide outstanding training and practical knowledge for area businesses and their employees.

Based on the success of the first class, the Chamber plans to continue this program to instill a high level of customer service in all local businesses and provide familiarization so that business owners and employees can direct customers/visitors to other excellent opportunities in our community. They feel confident that this program will enhance customer relations and increase revenues in the coming years.
