“WE SHALL NEVER FORGET”
9/11 Remembrance Weekend – 10 Year Anniversary
September 11, 2011 will mark 10 years since the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center in New York; at the Pentagon in Northern Virginia; and at the crash site of United Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, killing nearly 3,000 people. The City of Auburn and our surrounding community are united in an effort to come together to honor those who lost their lives and those whose lives were forever changed on that fateful day.
It is our intent to provide a means to reflect on and aid in healing for all who visit. Simplicity, Respect, Honor and Dignity are four words which best describe the tone of the events taking place the weekend of September 11th.
