Cayuga County featured in Better Homes & Gardens Magazine
Cayuga County was recently featured in the June 2011 issue of Better Homes and Gardens as a destination of choice for a wine touring vacation.
“We received a call in February from a travel writer looking for wine vacations in the Finger Lakes to feature and in searching the web, she found our site to be an excellent resource so she gave me a call to find out more information,” said Meg Vanek, executive director of the Cayuga County Office of Tourism. “This tells us that our web site is doing a great job in leading not only writers but visitors to Cayuga County.”
The feature, titled “Vintage Vacation,” highlights the Inn at the Finger Lakes’ “Mighty Fine Wine” package which includes lodging, breakfast, nightly wine tastings, and a self-guided wine tour. In addition, Heart & Hands Wine Company’s “Crush Camp” was featured for visitors that want a real hands-on experience picking, sorting, and pressing grapes along with the winery owners. Better Homes and Gardens paid circulation is 7,620,932.
