Ian Hobson performed in Auburn in 2003, the first Adams recital to be held in the Westminster sanctuary. Hobson is a musician of tremendous versatility who has earned an international reputation as a pianist, conductor, and educator. Born in England, Hobson studied music at the Royal Academy of Music and Cambridge University in England, and at Yale University.

Hobson's programs consistently demonstrate a repertoire that spans the centuries; he displays an extraordinary command of styles and scholarly vision, in addition to great keyboard prowess. He has appeared with major orchestras as well as a solo performer, and is also in great demand as a conductor, both of orchestras and also of opera. He is also a sought-after judge in national and international competitions, and has recorded extensively, most recently on his own record label, Zephyr Records. Tickets for adults are $20, students $10. For more information call 315-253-3331 or visit: www.westminsterauburn.org.
