Chamber Unveils New Logo at Annual Dinner
The Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce unveiled their new logo at the 102nd Annual Dinner, held at the Holiday Inn on October 19. The new logo was designed by member Julia Reich of Julia Reich Design. For the design, the four C's of Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce were converted into colorful wheels and cogs. The concept for the design was to create a logo that showed different aspects of industry coming together to form the economic engine that drives our region. The chamber is at the epicenter, helping further the interests of our member businesses, which in turn ensure that our community remains the best place to live, work and play.
Keep it Local
In addition to the logo unveiling; the goal of this year’s annual dinner was to highlight one of the largest business sectors in Cayuga County - agriculture. The Chamber wanted to do more than just talk about the economic effect that agriculture has on the local economy; but to have attendees experience the quality of the products being produced in the community. This theme was part of every decision made from having live centerpiece arrangements (compliments of Dickman Farms), to the appetizers created by County restaurants that use local organic foods. These included Moro’s Table, Oak & Vine, Pumpkin Hill Bistro and Elderberry Pond. The Holiday Inn also used local produce in the evening’s dinner, and local wines graced the tables.
The Chamber gave its members a taste and feel of what agriculture brings to the County and the effect was unique and elegant. Kudos to the Chamber event committee for making this evening so special and different! These included co-chairs Hilary Ford and Kelly Buck, Andrew Fish, Demetrius Murphy, Jessica Bouley, Michele Barber, Nancy Thomas, Pam Kirkwood, Thomas Hughes, Amy Fuller and Mary Moore.
