Rebranding of Operation Auburn plus Design and Format Upgrades
Operation Auburn was initially started as a tool to lure past Auburnians back into the fold, by sharing all the positive developments that have been made in the City. Now, many of our subscribers are local residents that simply enjoy reveling in Auburn’s accomplishments as well.
After 4 years, the look of the website will be redesigned by Coburn Design, and the project will enjoy a new name that better describes the written content and goals- to share good news about Auburn! We are asking our readers to help select a new name for Operation Auburn. To participate in the survey please follow this link.
In addition to a new name, project coordinators want to take a more contemporary approach to packaging Auburn’s good news & events, with shorter descriptions with links for further information. This trend is popular with various media sources and we hope you will find it more useful. Changes will happen starting in February 2011.
Facebook Presence
In support of these enhancements, the City is creating a Facebook page to extend the reach for sharing content on Operation Auburn. Weekly posts on positive developments and events will ensure content is delivered in a more timely fashion, versus once a month. The project will still maintain delivery of its monthly E-newsletter blast on Constant Contact, yet if readers want more information weekly, it will be available on the site, and on our Facebook page coming soon.
