Leadership Cayuga Creative Core Project Challenge
Five members of the Leadership Cayuga Class of 2009 are working to increase Cayuga County’s awareness of The Creative Core and its initiatives. Jacqueline Hopkins, Kurt Kramer, Maureen Riester, Cindy St. George, and Andrea Stratton have developed specific Cayuga County marketing materials to spread the message of The Creative Core to local businesses and organizations. These materials include a general information sheet, business card, and a partnership application. Each group member created a list of 15-20 businesses and organizations to visit and distribute the informative materials.
The group’s second goal has been to improve Cayuga County’s portion of The Creative Core’s website. The group has contacted the local tourism office to obtain more informative content for the site, as well as local photographers for use of some breathtaking photographs of Cayuga County. While talking to prospective partners, they also mention the added benefit of being able to submit a personal profile or business success story, to be used in The Creative Core’s bi-monthly newsletter, or on the website.
