Amateur Chef’s Night
The 11th Annual Amateur Chef’s Night sponsored by the Community Preservation Committee will be held on Thursday, February 5th at 6:30 PM at Springside Inn, 6141 Westlake Road, Route 38, in Auburn.
This yearly event has become a February tradition and once again Auburn’s local chefs will be preparing a wide variety of appetizers, soups, entrees and desserts.
Some of the menu selections this year are Bob DiMatties’ Wedding Soup, George Donovan’s meatballs and greens, Matt Carnicelli’s seafood pie, Matteo Bartolotta’s vegetable lasagna, Dr. Pang Lay Kooi’s Hawaiian chicken, Norm Chirco’s ranch chicken with Swiss cheese and bacon and a local favorite Springside Inn’s cheese soufflé.
Numerous dessert selections will be offered including Mike Vasco’s cream puff sundaes and Bill Treat, Kent Brandstetter and Joe Leogrande’s homemade pies.
A wine tasting will be provided courtesy of Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery and a cash bar will also be available. In addition, a silent auction is scheduled. Some of the items include fine art work, New York Yankee and New York Giants sports collectibles, gift certificates, wine, small furniture pieces and other items.
Various musical performances will round out the evening. All proceeds from this event will be used to maintain and preserve the Willard Memorial Chapel – one of Auburn’s premier historic sites.
Come meet the chefs, taste the wine, enjoy the food and bid on great auction items.
Tickets are $4o and may be purchased at the Willard Chapel, 17 Nelson St., Auburn,
or by calling (315) 252-0339 to make your reservations. Tables can be reserved with 8-10 people; event seating capacity is limited to 250.
