Merry-Go-Round Playhouse Announces "All Tickets On Sale Now!"
AUBURN - Summer lingers on the horizon, which means it's nearly time for another season of "Broadway in the Finger Lakes" at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. In preparation for the 2007 Season, the MGR Box Office has relocated back to their home in Emerson Park and opened for all ticket sales April 2nd.
As a sign of the success that bodes ahead in 2007, due to overwhelming demand from Subscribers and Groups, the Playhouse has already extended the run of its season closer Always. Patsy Cline through September 27th, adding five additional performances.
"The excitement we've witnessed in regard to this season has been amazing," said Timothy Fox, Director of Marketing and Communication. "Subscriptions are up, group sales are strong and the number of calls inquiring about single tickets increases each day. It's both heartening and humbling to hear the anticipation over what we've put together this season."
During the upcoming 2007 Season, the 36th in their lakeside performance facility in Emerson Park, the Merry-Go-Round will see two regional professional premieres, two Best Musical Tony Award winners, one children's classic and a wildly popular tribute to a music legend. The 2007 Season, sponsored by M&T Bank, will include: Miss Saigon, Peter Pan, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Ain't Misbehavin' and Always. Patsy Cline.
Last season, the Playhouse presented a line up which included the region's professional premiere of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. The rock-n-roll tribute to Holly sold out its three week run within 48 hours of opening.
"Buddy was so well received that we sold out almost immediately after opening and we were sadly forced to turn away many eager fans," says Ed Sayles, Producing Director. "Because our productions can be very popular, I always encourage patrons to purchase their tickets as soon as possible in order to allow for the most seat and performance choices."
The Playhouse reminds patrons that for the utmost in convenience tickets may be purchased online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at their website, www.merry-go-round.com.
