Residents Past and Present Revel in the Tradition of the 21st Annual Holiday Parade & Family Fun Day
The Downtown Auburn Business Improvement District is pleased to present the 21st Annual Holiday Parade & Family Fun Day. This year’s Parade & holiday festivities will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2007. Some of the activities taking place that day include:
- FREE horse-drawn wagon rides and family activities at the Auburn Public Theater, starting at 3:30pm
- FREE hot chocolate provided by the American Red Cross
- Arrival of Santa Claus, starting at 6pm
- The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, immediately following the Parade (approximately 6:45pm)
- Kids can visit with Santa and attend Bob Lyna's Merry Sing-along, starting at approximately 7pm at the Auburn Public Theater
- A bonfire conducted by the Auburn Fire Department with music performed by the Auburn Civic Band, starting at approximately 7:30 pm in the parking lot across from City Hall
Also, the BID is now accepting registration for any business, organization, or individual that wishes to participate in the 21st Annual Holiday Parade. Everyone is welcome. All parade floats should have some type of holiday theme. Cash prizes will once again be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place floats as decided by the parade judges. The winners will be announced at the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, which will take place immediately following the parade.
