City of Auburn Office of Planning & Economic Development
Community Development Block Grant

Each year, staff members from the Planning Department host public forums in each quadrant of the City, to gain insight into residents’ concerns and gather ideas for areas to improve upon. These notes are then summarized into an Action plan, and those priorities set the stage for the next Community Development Block Grant cycle. The next sets of meetings have just been scheduled.

Help the City of Auburn create the ‘07-‘08 Action Plan for CDBG, and drop in for an Open House at these neighborhood locations. All meeting facilities are handicapped accessible.

  • Neighborhood House, 77 Wall Street
    Wednesday, October 10th 6 - 8 PM
  • Booker T. Washington Community Center, 35 Chapman Avenue
    Tuesday, October 16th 3:30 - 5:30 PM
  • Hoopes Park Clubhouse, 100 S. Herman Avenue
    Wednesday, October 17th 6 - 8 PM
  • Clifford Field (Y-Field) Clubhouse, Mary Street
    Monday, October 22nd 6 - 8 PM

A public hearing on priorities for the plan will be held on Wednesday, November 7th at 6:30 PM at Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street. All are welcome and encouraged to participate in developing an Action Plan that will identify the needs of our community and provide resources for those needs.
