Friends of Hospice Thrift Shop Opening at Willard Memorial Chapel
For over a year, Hospice of the Finger Lakes has been looking at the feasibility of opening a Thrift Shop, as a way to raise money for the important services they provide. Thanks to generous community support, this dream will soon become a reality. The name of the shop will be the “Friends of Hospice” Thrift Shop, located in a spacious, bright room at the historic Willard Chapel. Through word of mouth, we have been blessed with donations of store fixtures and goods from area businesses and individuals.
Hospice volunteers are busy sorting donations and preparing the shop for opening. Currently, they are accepting fall and winter clothing, and plan to have a soft opening in mid December with regular hours beginning in early 2011.
The Thrift Shop will be staffed by volunteers and proceeds from sales will support Hospice’s mission of providing quality end-of-life care in our community. If you are interested in donating any items, volunteers will be at the shop on Wednesday afternoons from 1 - 4PM. If you are interested in volunteering, or have any questions please call the Hospice office at 315.255-2733.
