Ling Wang & Ling Chinese Performing Arts, Cortland
Wang is a professional dancer and teacher who’s been teaching and directing the Central NY Dancing Team in Syracuse since 2001. She lives in Cortland, where she opened the Ling Wang Performing Arts in 2009. Ms. Wang will perform a medley of different genres of Chinese folk, classical and performance dances. |

Sudanese DiDinga Hills Dancers, Syracuse
The Sudanese Didinga Hills Dancers and the Dinka Community Dancers represent two new Sudanese communities in Syracuse. The Didinga Hills dancers will perform two of their traditional dances, nyakorot a celebratory harvest dance and gyrikot a social tradition of mocking songs. The Dinka will perform maloul, which was performed during harvest time but since has become a form of war protest. |
